Just because it's June, June, June...

I can’t believe I haven’t posted in such a long time. I have been so busy and, I have to sneak a moment when I can.

To recap: I had a grand time on my birthday. I cannot believe that I am so blessed to have such great friends. I whole-heartedly recommend The Gunstock Inn, in New Hampshire this place for a quick get away. It is a rustic little place and the people are friendly and the view just wonderful.

I got some beautiful gifts, but the most precious gift of all was the great company, love and friendship.

And thanks to all of you for your online birthday greetings.

Here is one of the best reasons to love this time of year:
Peonies. The Uber-flower. How fabulous they are, so showy and grand.
The heady scent is ripe in our room right above my head.

On the needles:
Surprise! I finally caught the bug. When I was a beginning knitter I wasn’t particularly enthused by them. But now… Origami with yarn, how cool is that ?
I am on my second one, a gift for a co-worker and more are planned. I believe I will send the one pictured as part of my Dulann 5. It is so thick and cozy. The green and yellow are Lamb's Pride and that verrrry dark navy I believe to be a chunky Rowan.

Here is a knit meme I swiped from Bonnie Marie.
