As it goes

I am magic looping my first pair of socks on a size 2 circ. I am using an old Susan Bates that has a kink in the cable and it is slow going. But the yarn is a beautiful Dancing Leaf Sock yarn, maroon rose variations.
I am in charge of needle ordering at the yarn shop. Do you think I would have ordered my own size 2 Addi !

Xmas Knitting proceeds a pace i has started a pair of fingerless gloves in Maroon merino for SIL, 1/3 of a scarf (knit horizontal) for BIL in a dark maroon alpaca with small stripes of taupe Rown Cashsoft, 3 inches of a sock for MIL in the afer mentioned Dancing Leaf and fingerless mitts of FIL in some tweedy Donegal tweed something he can wear to work around in - well at least the yarn is selected for that one. Doable, perhaps. But the deadline is t December 17th. We celebrate an early XMAS. with my husbands folks.

Then I have 1 poncho done and half the second for my twin nieces. I have also to start one for their older sister.
The color are Sweeten (Bright Fuscha), Rose, Plum Crazy all washable Lambs pride with stripes of a hand dyed cotton slubby I got on Ebay.
They, however knit up fast and I do not think I will go to Jersey for December 25th, but maybe for New Years.

I hopefully will have a knitting day on Sunday, depending on how much house work gets done. The scarf however must get 2 rows knitted a day. I am finding that I can get through one row of 380 plush stitches on the way in to work on the subway. Yeah Mon !
