When skeins go wrong

I am pleased with the little top down sweater for Dulaan, really. I just wish it were done already. I am eagerly waiting for the day(after washing and blocking the little sweaters and packing them lovingly away, thinking warm thought for whoever gets to wear them) to come. I pray that this day will be this coming Wednesday.

I am itching to get back to some other things, namely for me and for some others. Sometimes I think for a knitter it is not the object made or the yarn or the ancillary costs, but the time taken away from other objects you want to knit.
Like this stuff :

Gorgeous isn't it. It is for a secret but plagued ridden project. Well, plague is probably too strong a word. Suffice to say that the state of this skein is the latest set back for a birthday present already over ten days late, But that is a subject for a post in its self. When I went to wind this Blue Heron Rayon skein into a center pull ball, I probably should not have touched it. I was upset, tense and overwrought and this negative energy made its ugliness into my skein and caused it to go all wrong. It is now hanging in my office, where I have been working on it in little mental health breaks. IF I get enough untangeled I will start the project this weekend.

Here is something nice :

My mother in law's socks. My first pair and luckily they seem to fit fine. Now a wash and block and off to Wellfleet they go. I can't wait to cast on my next pair, but I promised myself that I would not until the Dulaan sweaters were done. Sigh.

Happy Father's Day to Daddy in NJ, Dad from the Cape, DeanB and any other Daddies we know and love. Especially to Marky from his wife and kitties.
Ciao y'all.

Thanks for the Father's day greeting, also for posting -- we haven't had any blog news in a while. I like that "not a major concern in Mongolia." Good luck with your neck & your husband's health too
