Love your self
A friend of mine mentioned in her blog that she was feeling a little tired. That led me to recall that I have been feeling pretty good lately. I don't talk about it much, but I do have some of the typical health problems that a black woman may age has.
I have been on a banana smoothie kick and I feel so awesome after. Maybe it's the potassium. Here is my recipe:
Take one banana, a cup of frozen strawberries, an eight oz container of nonfat yogurt, a half cup of milk, and a tablespoon of honey. Put it all in a blender and whip it up !
You can use any fruit that strikes your fancy, but I freeze whole strawberries the night before. If your fruit is not frozen you can use a couple of ice cubes, but the cacophony of the ice rattling around in the blender may render the remedy useless.
I also like Naked Juice protein drink or the green tea Vitamin Water.
Or a nice cup of Earl Grey.
These things revive me up.

My energy level has been very low these past few months so on Sunday I bought all the fixings for smoothies. Thinking to myself, "Self - that would make a great breakfast every morning."
Now if I could only get my a$$ out of bed to make one.
The smoothie sounds so good! I'll have to try it. :)
hey hon. I got that cable pattern in the afghan block from one of those books that contain lots of cable patterns. I think the name of the book is Fair isle and Aran Knitting. Don't quote me on that though.
My husband used to call bananas "banana bread" when we bought them, as in "I see that you got banana bread", because I don't actually like bananas but always wanted to be good and eat them. So they would inevitably turn black and shrink and turn even yuckier, and I'd wave it off saying I was going to make banana bread.
I never made banana bread.
