Just a quick post to show my Team Boston Olympic Project/Black Purl Project.
This one's for you Jingle Lady !
Another view modeled by my friend, Beth.
I am really pleased with how it came out. The yarn is a handpainted silk that I picked up at the Fiber Studio booth at the 2005 New Hampshire Sheep and Wool. Next time I will be sure to use my Addis. For some reason I started out with bamboo circ's. Most likely because of gauge concerns, as anything over a size eight needle made it look like a fish net'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">fish net. My camera is not the greatest, but I really like the stitch definition. So off it goes.
Pattern ? Sue's Clove Stitch Shawl from about.com.
I promise to catch up on the happenings and other projects hopefully very soon !

Very nice! :)
Sorry I didn't to do your contest for black history month. I got caught up in being cat nurse, cat therapist, cat chauffeur... (sigh)
The stitch definition shows up great in the enlarged picture -- it's lovely. Your camera is nothing to apologize about.
I'm reading another Wilson play (oh! I returned the first 2 on Feb 22, and looked at the catalog number on the spine so I could get to the right place in the stacks to find more. The librarian asked me if I needed to write it down, but I said I could remember. When I checked the new ones out, she said, "You did remember." I said, "Yes, it was really easy, the number was 822, and today is the 22nd." She said, "Too bad it's not August, then you'd have 8/22 -- Oh, but the author is August, so there you are.") I'll post about it back under the Black History Month entry when I finish.
I just don't sit down to read things through. Those plays are just 100 pages, and not dense text at that. I'd be through them by now if I just sat down and read...
I'm wearing the scarf/shawlette right now as a kerchief. It's a lovely accent to my outfit. :) I really love it! Thank you so much!
