Busy busy

Sorry I have not posted in a while. I have been so Busy. Ugh. My parents 50th Wedding anniversary is this Saturday and although my sister and niece are really doing most of the work, I am getting stressed just thinking of it. It is in New Jersey and I have to hike down there in my little ragged (yet paid for) Camry and really work. Moving stuff, setting up etc, feh.
I had wanted to have it in a restaurant but things being as they are we might have been able to afford 40 people. And that would include 12 of the immediate family including my parents. Luckily my brother owns a Karate Studio which is located in a former restaurant. With the renting of tables, chairs, voila ! A very nice party space which allowed us to double the number of guests, which is what my mother really wanted - a grand splash.
On top of it I am moving. Just two flights up. You would think that it would be easy, but I am overwhelmed by the crap I have, really. I am trying baby steps, but it ain't easy.
So nothing inciteful or interesting for a few days. I am making lovely ponchos for my twins nieces and their sister, the Fabulous Chavonne for Xmas. I am using Harlot's Poncho Pattern in Lamb's Pride Superwash. More on that later.
And so Allison of Circles decided to go to Rhinebeck at the last minute, so I stayed behind to get the store open. I know she got some beautiful things. I can't wait to see them.
